“I began photographing this water-based series in 2011. After being sick and stuck at home for a few weeks, I decided to take images while inside. After exploring different avenues, I began experimenting with water and quickly realized the endless possibilities this element could bring to the creation of unique abstract pieces. Eventually, after countless hours of trials and errors, this series was born, and within it, different collections arranged by themes, colors and textures.Just like any abstract artwork, everyone feels and sees different things within an image. When it comes to printing, I have found that using metal or metallic paper really brings out the depth, intensity and vibrancy of the colors.Over the years, I have been amazed by people’s reactions to these pictures as they usually can’t believe these are real photographs, and are able to see and share with me things, faces and objects I had never noticed within the images before.”
